Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, Eduardo Bolioli moved to New York in the late '70s to study at the School of Visual Arts, later settling in Honolulu, where he gained recognition painting surfboards for pro surfers and designing for major surf brands like Quiksilver and Gotcha. His vibrant style led to poster work for artists like Miles Davis and Aerosmith, and design projects for VH1 and Absolut Vodka—who named him the Absolut Hawai’i and Uruguay artist. After years away from art while raising a family, Bolioli returned to painting full time in 2014. His work has been shown worldwide and is held in collections from Sweden to South America.
