This month, Munk One is proud to present “The Road,” a new screen-printed poster created for City and Colour’s Road to Bonnaroo tour (May 30 – June 7, 2012).
The artwork highlights one of Munk One’s favorite birds, the Kakapo—a rare, flightless parrot from New Zealand—perched atop a stack of suitcases. Known as the world’s heaviest parrot and possibly its longest-lived bird, the Kakapo is also critically endangered. Once reduced to just 50 individuals in 1995, dedicated conservation efforts through the Kakapo Recovery Program have helped the population grow to 126 at the time of this release.
