Indiana is home to the first zoo on Earth to successfully breed the endangered Jamaican rock iguana - doubling the population in human care back in 2006. A detail only locals might know, but it makes the iguana not just a cosmic trip… it’s a deep Indiana connection hidden in plain sight.
311 and their fans have always been about exploration and pushing creative boundaries, and this poster does the same.
Poster art by @johnfmalta John F. Malta was born + raised in Cleveland, Ohio and established his art practice in New York City. John now lives in Southern California and over the last fifteen years have worked on projects with companies, DIY spaces, bands, punks, professional wrestlers, and institutions such as Complex, The New Yorker, Blink-182, All Elite Wrestling, Beyond the Streets, The New York Times, The Museum of Arts + Design, Danhausen, Dr. Martens, and more.
He has self-published dozens of comics + zines, drawn Magic: the Gathering Secret Lair (and) Garbage Pail Kids cards, and has shown his paintings and installations extensively across North America.
We are super excited to have him on this project.
