About this poster
Designed by artist Jeff Quiros, this rare concert poster is a true relic of the psychedelic rock era. Printed in a limited run of approximately 1,500 copies, it features a striking two-color lithograph on vibrant orange card stock. The design includes a negative print of the Mona Lisa sourced from a color slide, with hand-cut black paper lettering created using an X-Acto knife.
Measuring an unusual 9 3/8" x 12 3/8", the posters were printed at a local shop in Davis, CA—known simply as “The Printer.” Many of the original prints were used as wallpaper inside the iconic Tower Records store in Sacramento.
The event itself was hosted by Indio House at Regan Hall (UC Davis), and while Quicksilver Messenger Service appeared, they ultimately didn’t perform due to union restrictions involving the other band on the bill, Loading Zone.
Originals are exceedingly rare—only a handful are known to exist today. This poster is a piece of rock history and a testament to the DIY artistry of the time.
