I’m excited to announce tomorrow’s new Spray Painted HPM Release titled “ZDLR”. Signed by Zack De La Rocha and myself. There are four different color ways with each color way being a Edition of 5. Each prints goes for $400 plus Shipping. I did create a couple 1-Off versions. So about the image. I originally created this illustration in 2006 when Shep aka @obeygiant first introduced me to rubylith. This was one of the first rubyliths I ever cut and I was hooked. This is was about two years before I had met Zack and wanting to make a portrait of him came natural to me since I was a longtime Rage Against the Machine fan and also happened to share the same politics with the band and most importantly to my 13 year old self Zack happened to be Chicano like me lol 🤣. Anytime someone did something badass and they where Mexican I was immediately a fan at that point in my life and it’s still kind of like that haha. Fast forward to 2008 I meet Zack and he’s the coolest, he was super encouraging to me and he’s actually is the one that put me on my path to becoming a political artist by taking me to Phoenix to a anti-Arpaio March. It was also his idea to do the We Are Human that myself and Shepard worked on. Overall he’s been a huge influence on me before and after we became friends.
