This gig poster for Puscifer's May 20, 2025 show at Peterson Events Center in Pittsburgh is a wild piece by artist Mark Dean Veca. It features a seriously twisted take on Felix the Cat, rendered in Veca's signature black and white crosshatching technique against a color-shifting background that flows from purple at the top to warm orange/yellow at the bottom.
Veca has transformed the classic cartoon cat into something delightfully warped – giving Felix bulging eyes, an exaggerated toothy grin, and a body made up of bulbous, bloated forms. The character's holding what looks like an ice cream cone or swirled object, adding to the off-kilter vibe of the whole piece.
The lettering work really complements the illustration – "Puscifer" appears in flowing, golden yellow script at the top, creating nice contrast with the detailed monochromatic character below. The date "5.20.25" sits in the middle right, while the venue info runs along the bottom in a chunky, stylized purple font that has a cool psychedelic quality to it.
The whole design has this perfect underground comic feel that matches Puscifer's experimental sound – it's weird, detailed, and impossible to ignore.
