About this poster
The first printing of this Animals billboard featured four songs beneath the band’s name—three major hits from 1964–65, along with their then-current single, “Inside Looking Out,” which didn’t make much of a splash.
What makes the second printing particularly interesting—beyond the corrected photos—is the addition of another track: “It’s My Life.” Though not a huge chart success, the song is a key part of the Animals’ legacy and has even been covered live by artists like Bruce Springsteen.
While they were updating the poster, Globe made a few other tweaks as well. These included adding a second ticket outlet and reworking the two Day-Glo orange rectangles for Sam the Sham and Brutus to better align with the updated imagery.
