"In 2015, I began the VICES art series with a movie poster for "Reefer Madness" and now 27 prints in, the series is still going strong. Ever evolving and changing, the VICES series remains a focus of my career and with a few new tricks up my sleeve I knew it was time to celebrate it's anniversary with heading back to where it all began...
Stripping the original Reefer Madness art done to it's original inks, I recreated the design, adding 40+ hours of hand done color separations, 29 in total, to reinvent the concept and breathe new life into one of my favorite pieces. Everything was redone with severe attention to the smoke and hair to create a life like appearance and create proper depth that was lacking in the original art. This also includes three different color layers ( 9 color layers in total!) on her skin to give her a realistic feel while maintaining the aesthetic of the time period she inhabits." - TP
