About this poster
Printed after the event, this double split-fountain poster features Rick Griffin’s iconic image of a scarab beetle rolling a ball of dung.
The artwork was originally created for a 1969 concert handbill promoting The Who at the Hollywood Palladium and was later reissued by the California Graphic Exchange in a larger format with vibrant split-fountain color blends. Only 1,000 posters were produced, and few remain in existence today.
